Getting started
Getting started.
Genesis Longevity & Wellness is the longevity and functional medicine program at Genesis Medspa in Colorado Springs, the same physician-led clinic that has served El Paso County since 2007. The program uses structured therapy stacks and ongoing monitoring across hormone optimization, cellular energy, body composition, recovery, cognitive performance, and sexual wellness.
A stack is a clinically-reasoned combination of therapies that work synergistically toward a shared biological goal. Rather than selling individual injections, we build protocols. The Male Vitality stack pairs TRT or enclomiphene, GHK-Cu peptide, and optional PT-141. The She Thrives stack pairs HRT, NAD+, and GHK-Cu. The stack approach produces compounding benefit because multiple systems are addressed simultaneously.
Your first consultation is complimentary and lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Your provider reviews your health history, current symptoms, medications, and goals. Together you identify the right starting point and your provider explains the clinical steps needed before any prescription is written.
No. The longevity program is open to new patients from anywhere in the Front Range. If you are already a Genesis Medspa aesthetic patient, your records transfer seamlessly.
A Good Faith Exam is a comprehensive provider-patient clinical encounter that establishes the relationship, reviews your medical history, screens for contraindications, and obtains informed consent before any prescription is written. Colorado law and federal law (Ryan Haight Act, for Schedule III substances) require a GFE before prescribing compounded medications, hormone therapy, and other prescription longevity therapies.
Initial consultations are available by phone or video. Good Faith Exams for non-controlled prescription medications can be conducted by telehealth. The first prescription for testosterone (Schedule III) requires an in-person GFE.
Most active protocols require a clinical check-in at 90 days for the first cycle. Stable, optimized patients may extend to 6-month and annual review cadences.
Safety and compliance
Safety and compliance.
Peptide therapy is a broad category. Safety varies by peptide, dose, patient health status, and sourcing quality. Peptides prescribed by a licensed provider, dispensed by a licensed 503A pharmacy, and monitored with regular clinical follow-up are managed with the same safety framework as any prescription medication. Several peptides, including BPC-157, are under active FDA regulatory review.
503A pharmacies prepare patient-specific compounded medications under valid prescriptions, regulated by state pharmacy boards under USP <797> sterile compounding standards. 503B outsourcing facilities manufacture sterile injectable batches for clinical use under direct FDA CGMP oversight. Compounded medications from either source are not FDA-approved drugs.
FDA-approved options include Vyleesi (bremelanotide) for premenopausal HSDD, Egrifta (tesamorelin) for its approved indication, FDA-approved estradiol and progesterone formulations, FDA-approved testosterone esters, and GLP-1 receptor agonists. All other therapies on our menu are either compounded or off-label uses of FDA-approved drugs. This is disclosed on each therapy page.
Yes, multiple peptides offered at Genesis Longevity, including BPC-157, TB-500, MOTS-c, Tesamorelin, AOD-9604, and all GH-axis peptides, appear on the WADA prohibited list. Disclose competitive athletic status before initiating any peptide therapy.
Active malignancy is a contraindication for many longevity therapies. A history of hormone-receptor-positive cancer requires oncologist clearance before HRT is considered. We review complete cancer history at every Good Faith Exam.
For mild side effects, contact your Genesis Longevity provider during business hours at (719) 579-6890. For severe reactions (difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe allergic response), call 911 immediately or proceed to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a callback.
Insurance and coverage
Insurance and coverage.
Genesis Longevity & Wellness is a cash-pay clinic. Standard health insurance does not cover most longevity therapies (peptides, compounded HRT, NAD+ therapy, regenerative procedures). Some FDA-approved formulations may be covered when prescribed through a primary care physician via a standard pharmacy.
Yes, in most cases. HSA and FSA funds are typically applicable to prescription medications and licensed medical services. Confirm with your plan administrator. We provide itemized receipts for all services.
Your provider confirms all costs at consultation before any prescription is written or procedure is scheduled. Initial consultations are complimentary.
Therapies and medical questions
Therapies and medical questions.
NAD+ is a coenzyme central to cellular energy production (ATP), DNA repair, and sirtuin activation. NAD+ levels decline with age. We offer NAD+ via IM injection (shorter visit) or IV infusion (higher peak levels), positioned as a stack component rather than a standalone drip.
TRT provides exogenous testosterone, replacing what the body is not producing. It suppresses LH/FSH and testicular function, relevant for men who want to preserve fertility. Enclomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that stimulates endogenous testosterone production without suppressing LH/FSH. Your provider determines which is appropriate based on your LH/FSH ratio and clinical goals.
HRT covers any hormone supplementation during menopause. BHRT specifically refers to hormones chemically identical to those the body produces. BHRT is available in FDA-approved forms and compounded custom formulations. NAMS 2022 recommends FDA-approved bioidentical preparations as first line.
Vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats) often respond in 2 to 4 weeks. Sleep typically improves in 4 to 8 weeks. Libido and energy may take 8 to 12 weeks. Body composition changes typically require 3 to 6 months. A clinical review is conducted at 8 to 12 weeks.
DEXA measures body composition (lean mass, fat mass, visceral fat) and bone mineral density. We use it as the primary tracking tool for the Metabolic Reset stack, the She Thrives bone-density baseline, and the Cellular Longevity profile.
